[First round of reviews finished – apply NOW for remaining grants available for theme-tracks 2 & 3!]
Deadline: May 18th 2009
The first round of reviews of applications to the CORE Conference IV has been finished. We would like to thank all applicants for their contributions! However, a couple of grants could not be awarded yet. The CORE Conference Team therefore invites young and mid-career European researchers eligible for funding to hand in abstracts and/or full papers. Grants are still available for papers addressing issues covered under theme-tracks 2 and 3 until May 18th 2009.

3rd Core Conference: CSR and Integration
The focus of the conference is to understand the potential of CSR to drive Integration in an enlarged Europe. The questions which the conference has explored cover different aspects and perspective of integration and CSR: tha nature and capacity of CSR in the political, economic and social context which underpins EU integration; comparison of CSR in Central and Eastern Europe; CSR education for innovation in an enlarged EU.
2nd Core Conference: The potential of CSR to support the implementation of the EU sustainability strategy
The relationship between CSR and wider sustainability strategy has been explored investingating how companies engage in CSR policies. Considering the innovative frontiers of the research and the policy makers' agenda, CSR has been tackled as policy instrument. In this perspective the conference has been exploited into 3 sessions: 1. Corporations (what they do to be competitive, if they adopt green/social innovation; if they respect products quality; if they are resource efficient) 2. Market forces (restrictions on market assess; investors' pressure; activists' pressure; consumers' preferences; SRI) 3. Public policies (international and domestic regulatory standards; voluntary agreements; PPPs).
1st Core Conference: The potential of CSR to support the implementation of the EU Lisbon Strategy
The first Core conference aims at exploring the following key topics: 1. Co-operation between reserach environment and enterprises for the develoment of a more innovative society; 2. The valorisation of human capital as element of competitiveness 3. Building a labour market for new and better jobs 4. Integration vs multiculturalism. What can European countries learn from each other?
4th CORE Conference 2009: The potential of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to support the integration of core EU strategies
The CORE Conference series reaches out to young researchers and provides a platform to discuss the potential of CSR to contribute to policy integration at the interface of competitiveness and sustainability strategies, as well as the continuous enlargement of the EU. CORE is an opportunity to test how CSR, being a voluntary initiative, can represent a means to contribute to the successful integration and implementation of core EU strategies.
